Team OG defeated Team Liquid in the finals of The International 2019 Dota 2 Championship. The meeting ended with a score of 3:1. Esports players earned $15,6 million, which is the biggest win in the history of the industry.
OG became the first two-time Dota 2 world champion in the nine years of the tournament's existence. As a reminder, the team also won the title in 2018, beating PSG.LGD 3-2 in the final.
Two teams from the CIS participated in the tournament - Natus Vincere and Virtus.pro. Na'Vi took 13-16th place, while VP got to 9-12th.
The International 2019 was held from 15 to 25 August in Shanghai (China). The total prize fund of the championship amounted to $33,3 million. Valve also announced the venue for the next tournament - the 10th The International 2020 will be held in Stockholm (Sweden).
