Earlier this week, OnePlus confirmed that it would be launching its new flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 8T, on October 14th. Now, ahead of the launch, the company is showing off some of the features of the new smartphone. In a teaser posted on Twitter, the company hinted at boosting the charging speed of the upcoming flagship.
The published video does not reveal details about the charging speed. However, another one was published on the OnePlus official website , which can only be viewed on mobile devices. It demonstrates two rechargeable batteries that are charged at the same time.
Thus, it is likely that OnePlus uses technology similar to OPPO VOOC. Recall that 65-W charging in OPPO devices is implemented in such a way that two batteries are installed in them, charging at the same time, instead of one large-capacity battery. A side effect of this approach is that the capacity of the dual battery is slightly less than if a regular battery were used.
