1.
“Humanism” calls the Earth. "Humanism" evokes the Earth.

- Earth on the wire.

“A Type XNUMX civilization has been discovered on the planet Searle. Sending data. I have an incomplete crew, there is no contact specialist. I ask for clarification on how to proceed.

- Act according to the situation. I'll try to find the right person. However, I do not promise - contactees are in short supply.

“Understood, Earth. I understood you.

2.
He found Varia in the conference room.

Outside the portholes hung a yellow Searle, beautifully framed by stars. Portraits of Leonardo da Vinci, Copernicus, Dostoevsky, Mendeleev, Irakli Abazadze and smiling Varya were hung between the portholes.

Roman hung Varin's portrait for the sake of humor, and for beauty, of course. The girl, captured against the background of the blue sky, smiled - as only Varka and no one else can.

- Well, did you get through to the Earth? she asked from her chair.

The chairs in the conference room were on wheels. During the flights they were fixed, but the rest of the time, when artificial gravity worked, it was possible to ride. Starfighters love to ride in wheelchairs, a tradition inherited from their ancestors.

Roman flopped into the seat and stretched out his legs.

- Phoned.

- Did you advise to act according to the situation? Varya chuckled.

Roman nodded.

“Well, why am I pulling everything out of you with tongs?! Did they promise to send a person?

Either way, he'll be late.

- In other words, you decided to make an independent contact?

- What else to do? Roman shrugged, knowing full well that he had no choice. - Civilization of the seventeenth type, there are no contraindications. Do not leave the explored sector without salty slurping ?! Let's do the authanasia ourselves.

The girl pushed off with her feet and rolled a little closer to Roman.

Roma, you don't have permission. Are you a pilot.

But I have enough experience. I twice participated in interviews as the second number. No access is required for the second numbers. Don't worry, Varka, everything will go smoothly, we'll get in touch. Then we will invite the Sirians on board, we will talk. Lebedinsky's technique, nothing complicated. In fact, it all comes down to pronouncing typical phrases and showing training videos.

- Will you take the second number?

Roman smiled and tried to make his face look dumber.

- Whom to take the second number? Whom to take? Considering that there are two of us on the starship, we will have to take you as the second number. I recommend that you familiarize yourself with the special literature, the second number. But first it is necessary to conduct a test for psychological and physiological compatibility.

He grabbed Varino's chair by the armrest and pulled it towards him.

- Well, I knew it, another test! the girl screamed. “Why did I just agree to fly with you into space?!

She didn't even think of resisting.

3.
The Sirian delegation that arrived on board the Humanism consisted of a man and a woman. The man was thin and tall, while the woman looked like a girl. Their hair was golden, and their chins were painted yellow - this was the national specificity of the inhabitants of Sirle.

The novel was once again convinced that intelligent life, with all its mental diversity, is enclosed in a strict anthropomorphic framework. There were no exceptions to this rule and there could not be.

Naturally, he was a little worried. However, the matter was familiar. The key here is the first sentence. For this reason, Roman did not include an interpreter: if the Sirians decide to insert a word, he still will not understand.

He led the delegation into the conference room, where Varya was waiting, and made it clear that the interview would be held here. He took a position opposite and took a deep breath. He clicked the translator and said as quickly as possible:

— The people of Earth, the oldest and strongest in the galaxy, greet the friendly people of Searle on the starship Humanism.

The job was half done, it remained to wait for a response.

“Yes,” said the man.

The girl, quite unexpectedly, put her hand on the top of her fellow tribesman.

“Understanding is possible thanks to the earthly technologies of mental translation,” Roman gave out the second phrase, which was laid down according to the method of Lebedinsky. “There is no such technology on Searle, so you are not able to communicate with other space peoples on your own.

The girl suddenly screamed:

- This! For what???

She pointed to Varya's portrait.

“The Sirians can’t stand the color blue,” the man explained. — The Sirians love the color yellow, especially the females.

Roman jumped up to the wall and turned the portrait upside down.

- Good now?

“Now my female is well,” the Sirlian confirmed.

The girl laughed, too loudly, because stupidly. But it was even not bad, because the problem turned out to be not worth a damn.

My name is Roman. And the name of my ... female is Varya.

Varya threw a mischievous look at the commander, but said nothing.

My name is Grill. And the name of my female is Rila,” said the Sirlian.

Everyone sat down in their chairs, except for Rila, who stayed behind Greel with her hands clasped behind her back.

Roman proceeded to autanasia:

— We invited the most worthy representatives of the Sirians to the spaceship Humanism for communication. And we are glad that the most worthy representatives have come. Both earthlings and Sirlians are biological beings. Each biological being is a separate material entity, with its own psychology. Misunderstandings and contradictions are possible between biological beings, up to the emergence of conflict situations.

When Roman mentioned separate material entities, the Sirlian began to examine his hands with surprise. The girl at this time stepped aside to see other portraits hung between the portholes.

When Roman mentioned possible misunderstandings and contradictions, the Sirlian said with displeasure:

"Rila, what are you doing?"

“I’m looking at pictures,” the girl answered.

- Stop immediately.

Rila had to return to her seat and put her hand on the top of Greel's head.

Lebedinsky's technique worked flawlessly.

“Curiosity, like conflict, is characteristic of all biological beings,” Roman continued meanwhile. “However, the contradictions that have arisen between biological beings must be overcome. In order to get to know each other better, we will pass on to you the accumulated unique knowledge - to the extent that you are able to perceive it. You will learn a lot about the universe, including your planet. We have watched Searle for generations.

"The Sirians didn't know you existed," Greel put in.

We have unique technologies. At first we didn't want to be discovered. But when they decided that the people of Searle were ready for contact, they turned on the visibility mode. You know what happened next. We have extended an invitation to the most worthy of the Sirans to visit the starship, you have arrived here.

Rila laughed again, this time for no apparent reason.

Why is she laughing?

“Rila is funny,” Greel explained.

“Females are the most unstable of biological creatures,” Roman said offhand.

“Females need to restrain themselves, especially in the presence of representatives of other space civilizations,” added clever Varya.

The girl's laughter stopped. No, Lebedinsky's technique definitely worked. However, for the first time enough - it's time to wrap up.

“Will you tell your people what you heard here?”

- Yes.

Rila placed her other hand on the top of Greel's head. She seemed to put her hand on her man's head with every "yes". An interesting local custom. I wonder what happens if the Siran has to say no?

“The volume of knowledge that will be provided to you is so great that several meetings will be required. Therefore, our interviews must be made permanent. I propose to meet once during the revolution of Searle around the star.

"I'll be there," Greel promised.

The novel concluded:

“We will bring you here for interviews. And now let's watch an informational video about the people of the Earth, quite a small one. We know everything about Searle, while you know nothing about our planet. This knowledge gap needs to be filled.

4.
The video has started. In the corner flashed a warning sign: "Exclusively for alien civilizations." The inscription was not voiced, so it could not be understood by the guests.

The announcer read out in a penetrating voice:

"Dear alien! The cradle of intelligent life in the vast expanses of space is the Earth. Here civilization arose much earlier than on other planets. Before other planets were formed, saber-toothed tigers were already roaming the Earth. When the first primitive fauna appeared on other planets, electric trams traveled across the Earth. When the wheel was being invented on other planets, earthlings plowed the galaxy in comfortable starships.

Realizing their ancient superiority, the inhabitants of the Earth have assumed responsibility for the development of intelligent life in the galaxy. Our scientists actively intervene in the natural course of evolution, carrying out the adjustment and coordination of biological processes on planets fertilized by life. It can be said that earthlings nurtured most of the galactic peoples with their own hands.

We do not come into contact with all the brothers in mind, but if this happens, the chosen civilization receives invaluable help for further intellectual and technological development. The amount of knowledge provided is considered separately in each case.

The text being read was illustrated with documentary footage generously flavored with animation. In some cases, they were replaced by short staged skits.

Here is the beginning of the beginning - a hopelessly black lifeless galaxy. On one of the planets, a bright dot begins to flash, indicating the origin of life. The dot approaches at an alarming rate and reveals itself to be a man and a woman holding each other's hands tightly. And now courageous earthlings are already looking at the starry sky... Courageous earthlings are riding a tram... Courageous earthlings are stepping on a starship... A starship with earthlings on board soars up, but does not find signs of life in the boundless space. No, life is still discovered! Here and there, other bright points light up, indicating the emergence of alien life.

Many starships fly from the Earth to observe vital centers. From them, circling in planetary orbits, earthlings-scientists carry out scientific observation. If necessary, scientists descend to the surface and pour nutrient broth over the protoplasm.

Life is gradually evolving - in reality, painfully long, but in an informational video in ten seconds.

After millions of years, the long-awaited contact of brothers in mind takes place. With tears in their eyes, local residents thank the earthlings for the nutritious broth and valuable informational support.

5.
- This is Earth. This is Earth.

“I hear you, Earth. "Humanism" on the wire.

- I found a specialist for you. Yuri Chudinov. He has a permit to work with alien civilizations up to the thirty-first level. Sent by transport capsule. Wait during the day.

“Understood, Earth. Thank you very much. Initial contact with the seventeenth type of civilization was successful.

“Excuse me, Humanism, I have a call on another line. End of connection.

6.
They sat in armchairs, occasionally touching each other with their hands, and exchanged impressions of the contact that had taken place.

“For a Type XNUMX civilization, the Sirians are quite primitive.

- Simple and taciturn. And this girl who constantly laughs for no reason ...

- Not bad.

Varka chuckled.

- Pretty, isn't it? Is that why you made a mistake?

- Which one?

I used the word "preference". You recommended to get acquainted with the special literature on contacts with civilizations of the seventeenth type, so I got acquainted. It is not recommended to allow alternative thinking, and the term "preference" allows alternative thinking.

Roman felt a chill rush into his chest. Varya was right: the term "preference" should not have been used.

“That term is not on the banned list,” he said, looking for an excuse, a little ashamed at the same time. In any case, it's not critical. Thanks for the tip number two.

- Number one, please.

Wanting to smooth over the mistake, Roman tried to hug the girl. But the mischievous Varka pulled away.

"Don't, now is not the time!"

- Why? he asked with purely masculine resentment.

“The transport pod will be docking soon.

And again Varka was right. She was always right in a situation of ambiguous choice - such was the ineradicable property of her nature.

- Yes exactly. For bureaucrats from the space ministry, they worked quickly.

- What is his name, by the way - our new contactee?

- Yuri.

- I read that in the event of contact, operational command on the space ship passes to the contactee.

At least there was something she didn't know! But I still read it.

"True," Roman nodded. - The contactee knows better what is possible and what is not possible during contact with unexplored civilizations. Alien psychology is too thin matter, easily torn. Although the transfer of operational command refers only to the control of the behavior of the crew and direct contact. The control of the spacecraft remains in the hands of the pilot.

- Are you upset?

- How? Roman was surprised.

— By losing your dictatorial powers?

- This is temporary, and I lose my powers partially.

They paused, touching each other with their fingers.

- Shall we go out to meet?

“Yes, to hell with him,” Roman got angry for some reason. - I hope you don't get lost. All "Humanisms" are built according to a standard project.

What are we going to do while we wait? Shall we play the game?

The pilot allowed himself a condescending smile.

“Are you hoping to put the squeeze on me in the endgame?”

- I play better than you.

- Then go.

Roman concentrated, and an unfinished position appeared in his memory. She and Varya often dabbled in three-dimensional chess. Here he felt at his best, allowing him to lightly tease his girlfriend. She pretended to be angry in response, in the end it all ended with the usual caresses.

Now, restoring the abandoned position from memory, Varya closed her eyelids and lifted her chin up.

“Rook h9-a9-iota-12,” she made another move in a moment.

— Pawn a8-a9-epsilon-4.

— Bishop b5-c6-sigma-1.

It was not easy to put pressure on Roman in the endgame, after all, he was a pilot of a spaceship.

7.
The contactee turned out to be an energetic and pleasant-looking person: tall and youthful for his age. He entered the conference room of "Humanism" with a confident step, with a traveling bag in his hands.

Hello, Roman. Hello Barbara. I see you are playing with XNUMXD chess?! It is commendable.

Heard at the door, I guess. Why didn’t they meet him, didn’t ask, which means that formalities were not a priority for him.

- Nice to meet you.

Varia nodded. Roman shook hands and reported:

Hello, Yuri. I am handing over operational command of the starship Humanism to you.

I am taking operational command.

- How did you get there?

— Thank you, Roman, arrived safely. Unexpected appointment. Not light, not dawn was reported - we had to pack up in a hurry.

- A person with a contactee diploma ended up in the hospital three hours before the start. Departed incomplete...

“And, unfortunately, they discovered a civilization of the seventeenth type.

“No one thought,” Roman drooped, as if he were to blame. “Finding an unknown civilization in this stellar sector is pretty unbelievable.

Yuri collapsed in a businesslike chair and rolled across the floor, checking the wheels. The wheels were ok.

- I sincerely congratulate you. I was informed about an unplanned opening, and I could not refuse. Nevertheless, glad to meet you. Call it a premonition, but we'll work together. Nice place, your "Humanism". And the seventeenth type of civilization is glorious - I have never worked with such people before.

Roman and Varya looked at each other.

— Have you ever worked with civilizations of the seventeenth type?

“You are asking, Roman, if I have worked with civilizations of the seventeenth type. The very posing of the question presupposes a doubt that a person who has not worked with such civilizations is able to work with them. However, I have a clearance to work with all extraterrestrial civilizations up to and including the thirty-first level. Do you, Roman, have a clearance to work with civilizations of the thirty-first level?

- Нет.

“At the same time,” the newcomer continued assertively, “I worked with civilizations of the tenth and twenty-eighth types. Do you think it's much easier than working with a seventeenth type of civilization?

- I do not think.

I hope I have answered your question. Now let's move on to the performance of our joint official duties. What time is the contact?

— I'm sorry, but the contact was made.

Yuri's face slightly stretched and darkened.

- In what sense did it take place? he said harshly and decisively. “I packed up and took off in a transport pod a few minutes after the message. And did the contact take place?

Roman confirmed.

- when?

— Ten hours ago.

Who gave the order to make contact?

“I'm like a starship commander.

- Why didn't you wait for a specialist with a permit?

It began to look like an interrogation on the carpet at the authorities - however, it seemed that way.

“Yuri, I suspect that you have been looking for too long,” Varya put in.

Roman loudly, as in training, reported:

“According to the Extraterrestrial Encounter Instructions, paragraph 238, when a Type XNUMX civilization is discovered, autanasia should begin as soon as possible. If within twenty-four hours from the moment of the discovery of civilization, autanasia is not started, it is necessary to immediately leave the place of contact and not return there again. Twenty-four hours have now elapsed. I could not allow a newly explored star sector to become unvisited.

- It's commendable. However, you do not have permission!

- Paragraph 238 takes precedence over paragraph 411, which establishes the rules for admission to activities in outer space. There were no problems during contact, everything went as usual. As a result of my actions, the star sector is open to the public.

Yuri didn't have an answer. A slight darkening of the face remained, but the jaw moved back into the cranium.

- Barbara, the success of the contact does not negate labor discipline ... All right, Roman. Only not "open for visits", but "will soon be open for visits." As for the rest - right into the hole ... However, from now on I will ask you to act strictly in accordance with my orders.

- Of course.

Well, no one will violate subordination, there is no need for this.

What time is the next interview?

- Tomorrow at eleven.

Here Yuri drew attention to the portrait, turned back.

- What is it?

"Varin's portrait," Roman explained. - But the Sirians asked to be removed. They are annoyed by the sky background.

- Fine. The portrait of a crew member is commendable. The main thing is to remember our responsibility. The discovery of a new civilization is a powerful factor influencing galactic politics. I hope you understand. And if you don’t understand, brush up on the story of Irakli Abazadze…

Yuri pointed his finger at the portrait of Abazadze - the only photograph of him that survived. The famous young man was filmed against the background of a log wall and held a shovel in his hands.

- The merits of Irakli Abazadze are well known.

- Doesn't matter. Watch the video from Videopedia. It is useful to recall what happens when working incorrectly with civilizations of the seventeenth type.

Varka intervened:

- Yuri, but the repetition of that situation is impossible.

But before her was already a wise, patient and omniscient commander.

Understand, Roman. Understand, Barbara. From the moment I assumed operational command of Humanisme, you have no room for error. Competence, iron discipline and a common goal, because we are dealing with an alien mind. So tomorrow at eleven. Now I must go to my cabin for rest, the flight was not easy. Roman and Varvara, we are one team and we have a common goal - autanasia.

Grabbing a traveling bag, the newcomer went to look for a free cabin.

8.
- Sit down please. This is Yuri, he will participate in the conversation instead of Varya, - Roman introduced the contactee.

At the last moment, Yuri released Varya from participating in the interview, so there were two earthlings.

"Yes," the Sirian agreed.

Rila immediately placed her hand on the top of his head.

— This is Greel, and this is his female Rila.

- Yes.

Rila placed her other hand on the top of her partner's head.

- Now we will watch a new video - about how life was born on your planet. Then, if there are questions, Yuri will answer them.

Roman pressed the projector button, but, to his surprise, he heard:

- No need. I will personally tell our Sirian friends about how life began on Searle.

A familiar chill crept into his chest.

- What?

- Screen is not required.

“Okay, Yuri… If you think it’s necessary…” Roman muttered, not understanding why the contactee needed to change the typical scenario.

“Searle arose a long time ago, from gravitational clots,” Yuri began. - Gravitational clumps were attracted to each other and formed your planet.

— Did you see it? Greel asked quickly.

— No, the earthlings flew to Searle later.

— How do you know this?

Roman noted mechanically: at the first interview, the Sirlian did not allow himself to be asked twice. Negative dynamics.

We have drawn a conclusion by analogy. We are the oldest civilization visiting the most remote corners of the universe. We can observe such metamorphoses on the example of many planets, so the origin of Searle is beyond doubt.

By the way, the term "doubt" was included in the list of prohibited in contact with civilizations of the seventeenth type. The pilot involuntarily peered into Greel's features, but did not notice any visible changes. The Sirlian, with his back as straight as a stick, remained in his chair. His facial features remained unchanged.

- Is there any doubt? Greel asked flatly.

It seems that Yuri realized that he had made a mistake, because he issued a rather clumsy, although effective phrase:

“Our civilization is powerful, therefore our logical conclusions are indisputable and are always confirmed by practice.

- Yes.

Rila's two palms were placed on the top of Gril's head: there was nothing more to place on it.

"Miss?" thought flashed.

No, I didn't. The girl changed her palms, contented herself with that.

- Where did I stop? So, when gravitational clumps were attracted to each other ...

- Почему?

- What "Why?

Why are they attracted to each other?

— Why are you asking about it?

Roman realized with horror that the interview was heading in a direction other than that planned by Lebedinsky's method. The dangerous chill in my chest no longer disappeared, but it seems to have settled forever.

“I want to know the answer,” insisted the Sirian.

In that case, I will answer. Gravitational clumps were attracted to each other because of the most powerful flash on your star. The prominence melted the edges of the gravitational clumps, and they stuck together.

There was a girlish laugh.

- Why are you laughing? Yuri exploded. - Am I saying something funny?

“Rila is funny, she often laughs,” Roman explained.

"She'll stop now," Greel said sternly.

Laughter stopped, as if cut off.

The color had not yet left Yuri's cheeks when he continued:

- At that historical period, Searle was a sticky gravitational bunch hovering in outer space. It would have remained so if chemical compounds had not begun to condense on its surface. Chemical compounds linked and unlinked, forming organisms that were originally elementary.

Why elementary?

Curiosity finally woke up in the Sirlyans. If only she didn't get out of control, if only she didn't get out!

“Great question, Greel, straight to the point!” These organisms were elementary because they had one distinctive property each. At the same time, they could exist in symbiosis with other elementary organisms. It was mutually beneficial. Suppose there was an elementary organism whose function was to reduce the size: relatively speaking, it was a muscular organism. On the other hand, there was an organism whose function was protective properties: the epithelial organism. The first organism is muscles. The second organism is the skin. After a number of unsuccessful attempts, the skin enveloped the muscles, and such a design turned out to be viable. The skin protected the muscles from the external environment, and the muscles allowed the skin to contract, due to which it became possible to move in space, to travel.

Rila laughed, even louder than last time.

"Females," Greel explained defensively. — Unstable biological beings.

The laughter stopped.

No problem, I'll continue. Thus, complex biological organisms were born. And it's not a joke.

Hearing about the "joke", Roman twitched, opened his mouth, but by an effort of will forced him to close it.

- Joke? Greel said, as if perplexed.

“Maybe we’ll finish for today, Yuri?” I think the guests are tired.

Roman said it in as even and friendly a tone as he could. But Yuri did not understand, while remaining active and verbose.

Greel, are you tired? he turned to the Sirian.

- Нет.

Finally, the Sirian said "no." Regardless of the danger of the situation, Roman watched with curiosity as Rila removed one of her hands from Greel's crown. Such, then, are the Sirlian customs. If “yes”, then the palm is superimposed, if “no”, it is removed.

"And you, Rela?"

- Нет.

She laughed, but immediately fell silent.

“You see, Roman, your assumption is wrong,” the contactee summed up. Thus, the evolution of biological beings on Searle moved to a higher level. Many elementary organisms responsible for vision, touch, smell, digestion and excretion were combined into single complex organisms, becoming their parts.

We are born whole! Greel retorted.

- Well, of course! A little later, chemical compounds appeared on Searle with a record of the complete composition of complex organisms. Organisms began to multiply by gradually increasing their biological mass according to the patterns they had. You really believe me.

Is it possible to not trust someone?

Roman sat with his face turned to the porthole. He was shaking with indignation and helplessness.

9.
He watched through the porthole as the boat with the Sirians separated from the "Humanism" and picked up speed. Soon the boat shrunk and completely melted away in the yellowish Sirlian atmosphere.

- Yuri, why did you deviate from the typical scenario?

- But why are you asking?

This man had a stupid way of answering a question with a question, transferring it to the interlocutor.

Why don't you answer the question right away? Roman didn't hold back. “Because this topic excites me, damn it!”

Would you like to have an informal chat?

Yuri looked confident, perhaps overly confident.

- As you wish.

"Fine, let's talk informally." Let's start with the fact that I did not deviate from what you call a typical scenario. There is no typical scenario, but there is Lebedinsky's technique. I assume that you mistakenly consider it typical. However, I used the latest technique - Shvartsman, which also does not contradict the Instructions on Extraterrestrial Contacts. I hope my answer satisfied you?

“Not completely,” Roman stammered.

What exactly didn't satisfy you?

- I am not familiar with the Schwartzman technique ...

- I thought so.

All that was missing was a pat on the shoulder.

“…At the same time, I am familiar with civilizations of the seventeenth type,” continued Roman. “This is my third contact with such civilizations, so I know a little about how to communicate with them. Well, that is the general principles I understand. As far as I can tell, you made a number of mistakes while communicating. These are gross errors that cannot be justified by referring to any of the methods, Lebedinsky, or Schwartzman, or someone else.

- So, so ... - Yuri nodded throughout the monologue, just like a metronome.

— You have several times hinted to the Sirians about alternative thinking. When talking with civilizations of the seventeenth type, it is categorically not recommended to do this. Even hints are unacceptable.

You are wrong, Roman. During the conversation, I did not hint at alternative thinking.

- You operated with such terms as "faith", "joke", "doubt".

— These figures of speech do not hint at alternative thinking.

- Still as hinted. If there is “you believe us”, then there is also “you can not believe us”. This is alternative thinking - the assumption of purposeful lies. Many of these terms are forbidden to be used when communicating with civilizations of the seventeenth type.

Why should the Sirians accept the second option, and not the first? Yuri suddenly asked.

Because they have a choice.

“Do you see any signs that our Sirian friends are accepting the second option?”

Roman was aware that Yuri was using sophistic tricks, but he could not turn the tide of the conversation.

“You talk about it so easily… Well… No, I don’t notice anything like that,” he was forced to admit.

I don't notice either. Consequently, the Sirians settled on the first option. I did the right thing.

- But you repeated a similar turn of phrase, in various formulations, several times! I had to put up a tutorial video!

Are you saying that I don't know anything about my profession? Yuri frowned.

- No, but…

“But you think so. Based on my meager amateurish experience.

“I don’t think so,” Roman blurted out of inertia, although such thoughts arose in him.

Let's see why you started this conversation. Is it because with my appearance they lost their commanding powers?

“You only have operational powers, Yuri. You don't know how to pilot a starship, and you never will. Your temporary command status is a formality required by space regulations.

“So you answered the question about the reason for the conversation,” the contactee summed up. - Excessive emotionality betrayed you. You are worried that for the duration of the autanasia, operational control passed to me. It was preferable for you to manage yourself, although you do not have the necessary clearance.

"But you've never worked with Type XNUMX civilizations!"

But he worked with many others. It's all right, Roman - you have absolutely nothing to worry about. I am in control of the situation, soon all the procedures will be completed, after which I will leave the "Humanism" and go home to Venus.

He comforted Roman like a small child.

“Yuri, you don’t joke with Type XNUMX civilizations!” – said Roman as can be detached. - You yourself mentioned Abazadze. Then it also started small.

- By the way, have you watched the video about the feat of Abazadze?

- Нет.

- Reconsider. And get acquainted with the Schwartzman method, we will work according to this method. And this, unlike the previous one, is an official requirement. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to write a second interview report.

Yuri left. Roman, alone, leaned against the cold glass of the porthole. In front of him hung a yellow Searle, a planet inhabited by a civilization of the seventeenth type.
