A comment about microtransactions was given by CD Projekt RED President Adam Kiczynski. He said, “Well, we never tried to be aggressive towards the fans. We are fair and friendly to them. So of course not - the company won't aggressively [promote monetization] - but you [investors] can expect great things to buy [in multiplayer]. I'm not trying to be cynical or hide anything: these [in-game purchases] just create a sense of value."

“Just like with our single player games,” Kicinski continued, “we want users to be happy spending money on CDPR products. This is also true for microtransactions: they will certainly appear, and Cyberpunk is a great environment for their implementation, but we are not talking about aggressive monetization. Internal purchases will not upset the players, but on the contrary, they will make them happy. This is our goal."

Cyberpunk 2077 releases November 19, 2020 on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and GeForce Now. The project will also appear on consoles next generation and Google Stadia. Recently developers confirmedthat no longer plan to move the release date.
