The creators of the Onyx Boox series of devices for reading e-books have demonstrated a curious novelty - a prototype reader called Viking.
The gadget is equipped with a 6-inch display on electronic paper E Ink. Supports touch control. In addition, it is said that there is a built-in backlight.
The main feature of the reader is a set of contacts in the back of the case through which various accessories can be connected. It can be, say, a case with additional control buttons or a case with a compact keyboard with a QWERTY layout.
As for the other characteristics of the Viking model, they are quite standard. The equipment includes a processor with four processing cores with a clock speed of 1,2 GHz, 1 GB of RAM and a flash drive with a capacity of 8 GB.
The device supports wireless networks Wi-Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth 4.1. Plus, there is a symmetrical USB Type-C port.
About when and at what price the novelty can go on sale, unfortunately, nothing is reported.
