Elbrus operating system is available for download

The page contains:

  • OPO "Elbrus" - general software based on Linux kernels version 2.6.14, 2.6.33 and 3.14;
  • Elbrus OS is a ported version of Debian 8.11 based on the Linux kernel version 4.9;
  • PDK OS "Elbrus" - the same OS, but with development capabilities. As stated, this is the most modern version of the OS. It is based on the Linux kernel version 4.9 and is designed to be downloaded and installed on computers with Russian-made processors;
  • Elbrus OS for x86 architecture is an OS based on the Linux kernel version 3.14 and 4.9 for processors with the x86 instruction set. At the same time, the version of the Elbrus OS packages for microprocessors with the Elbrus command system has been preserved.

Note that the first two versions are provided only on request as specialized software. The rest are free to download.

For most users, the version of the Elbrus OS for the x86 platform is of greatest interest. The reason is simple - although Russian processors have appeared on sale, they are still highly specialized and expensive solutions. At the same time, we note that on the same page you can get acquainted with the set of packages that make up the OS.

It is also important to point out that the third version of the Elbrus OS is currently available based on the 3.14 kernel for 32- and 64-bit platforms. The fourth version with kernel 4.9 is expected soon.
