Huawei HongMeng OS may be unveiled on August 9

Huawei plans to host the Worldwide Developers Conference (HDC) in China. The event is scheduled for August 9, and it looks like the telecommunications giant is planning to introduce its own operating system, HongMeng OS, at the event. Reports of this appeared in the Chinese media, which are confident that the launch of the software platform will take place at the conference. This news should not be considered unexpected, since the head of the consumer division of the company Richard Yu (Richard Yu) in May of this year said that Huawei's own OS could appear on the Chinese market in the fall.

Huawei HongMeng OS may be unveiled on August 9

The Huawei Worldwide Developers Conference is an important event for the Chinese vendor. According to some reports, more than 1500 partners of the company, as well as about 5000 developers from around the world, will take part in the event. Despite the fact that the event is an annual event, the current conference is especially important due to its scale and the close attention of the global media that Huawei has received recently. To be successful, any operating system needs a complete application ecosystem. Therefore, it would be logical if Huawei will present its OS at an event in which developers from all over the world take part.

It is already known that the HongMeng OS platform is not only for smartphones. Huawei spokesmen said that the OS is suitable for tablets, computers, TVs, cars and smart wearables. In addition, the platform will receive support for Android applications. There have been reports that applications recompiled for HongMeng OS are up to 60% faster.

Probably, more will become known about the mysterious Huawei operating system soon. The World Developers Conference will be held in China from 9 to 11 August this year.
