This week, we recall, OPPO introduced the first devices under the new Reno brand. In particular, the flagship model Reno 10x Zoom Edition debuted, equipped with a triple main camera with 10x hybrid optical zoom. In addition, a less powerful Reno Standard Edition model is presented. Both devices received a unique retractable selfie camera, in which one of the side parts rises.

After the release of Reno smartphones, many users began to wonder what fate awaits the R Series family. Now, OPPO Vice President Brian Shen has said that there are no plans to release new devices in the named series at the moment.

Instead, OPPO will focus on further expanding the Reno family, as well as creating the Find series of devices. Thus, it can be assumed that the Find X sliding smartphone will soon have a successor.

We add that OPPO is in fifth place in the list of leading smartphone manufacturers. According to IDC, last year the company shipped 113,1 million "smart" cellular devices, occupying 8,1% of the global market.
