The Pricebaba resource has discovered a new patent registered by Oppo - it describes several new designs of sliding smartphones designed to ensure the creation of frameless devices.
Most of the drawings in the patent seem to be continuations of what we already saw in . However, for some reason the smartphone module with a slightly curved upper part was replaced with other patterns. There are triangular design, zigzag pattern, wavy pattern, slanted straight line and semicircular curve. Of all the applications, only the last two look like real contenders for implementation.
In addition, all these models, according to the pictures, have a dual rear camera module, complemented by an LED flash. The front array includes 4 sensors: probably a dual camera with additional sensors for improved facial recognition.
In addition to the mentioned slider projects, the patent also describes a retractable dual camera mechanism - unlike most similar implementations, here the front dual camera extends to the side rather than upward. The devices in all pictures have USB-C ports at the bottom framed by the speaker grilles. Apart from the image, there is almost no information in the patent description - it is possible that none of this will be translated into a commercial product.
