Back in mid-June, AMD announced a new system logic for the most affordable motherboards with Socket AM4 - AMD A520. The VideoCardz resource has published images of upcoming motherboards based on AMD A520 from ASRock.

It is reported that ASRock will release at least five models of affordable motherboards based on the new AMD chipset. So far, only images of the A520M Pro4 and A520M-ITX/ac models have been presented. The first is made in the Micro-ATX form factor, and the second is Mini-ITX. Both have very good equipment for motherboards of the initial price segment.

The Mini-ITX motherboard has two slots for DDR4 DIMMs, while the Micro-ATX motherboard has four such slots. The larger novelty also received a pair of PCI Express 3.0 x16 expansion slots, while the more compact one received only one. To connect storage devices, in addition to four SATA III ports, each of the boards shown has an M.2 slot with a heatsink. The larger A520M Pro4 has another M.2 slot, but without a heatsink.

The A520M-ITX/ac motherboard is equipped with a Wi-Fi module, while the A520M Pro4 model only has an M.2 Wi-Fi module slot, which must be purchased separately. There are also wired gigabit network adapters.

Unfortunately, neither the release date nor the cost of motherboards based on the new AMD A520 chipset is yet known.
