Oracle has announced a new release of its free Oracle Linux 8.1 distribution, based on the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.1 package base.
In the new version:
- added Memory Mode support for Intel Optane DC Persistent Memory
- added udica package
- virt-manager is marked as deprecated
- removed Btrfs support from RHCK
- removed OCFS2 support from RHCK
The SELinux toolkit has been updated to version 2.9, the SETools toolkit has been updated to version 4.2.2, the OpenSCAP packages have been updated to version 1.3.1, and OpenSSH has been updated to version 8.0p1.
The distribution kit is available without restrictions after free registration... Access to yum repository unlimited.
