MegaFon reported on its work in the third quarter of this year: the operator's total revenue is growing, but net profit is declining.
For a three-month period, the operator received an income of 90,0 billion rubles. This is 1,4% more than in the third quarter of 2018, when revenue was 88,7 billion rubles.
At the same time, net profit fell almost two and a half times - by 58,7%. If a year ago the company earned 7,7 billion rubles, now it is 3,2 billion rubles. OIBDA (operating income before depreciation of fixed assets and amortization of intangible assets) increased by 15,8% to RUB 39,0 billion.
The number of MegaFon's mobile subscribers in Russia remained virtually unchanged over the year: growth was only 0,1%. As of September 30, the operator served 75,3 million people in our country. At the same time, the number of data transmission users in Russia increased by 6,2% over the year to 34,2 million.
“Modernization of MegaFon's retail network through the introduction of a new generation of sales outlets with a high level of service and a special approach to customer service is gaining momentum and is yielding first results. The average daily number of customers for the third quarter of 2019 in the renovated salons increased by 20%, and the average daily revenue per one such salon for the third quarter of 2019 increased by 30-40%,” the financial report says.
It should be noted that MegaFon continues to deploy LTE and LTE Advanced networks. As of October 1, the operator 105 base stations of these standards.
