Patch 1.0.7 for Outer Wilds became available along with the Steam version. The update adds the ability to change the control scheme on the gamepad to the game, as well as "many narrative and design" improvements.

Outer Wilds was released at the end of May 2019 on PC (Epic Games Store) and Xbox One, and reached PS4 in October. The release of the Steam version was delayed by more than 12 months due to Mobius Digital's deal with Epic Games.
