Outlook for Mac gets a new design and significant performance improvements

Microsoft is making some changes to its own email client, Outlook for Mac. Starting this week, beta testers will have access to a redesigned Outlook, accompanied by significant performance improvements.

Microsoft is bringing sync technology to Outlook for Mac, which is already used in the Windows, Android and iOS versions of the app. This means that accounts from different email services will sync much faster thanks to Microsoft cloud services.

Microsoft is also making changes to the design of Outlook for Mac and adding many features available in the web version of the email service and in applications for mobile devices. Changes have been made to the user interface that users interact with when reading and writing emails. Added collapsible panels that allow you to customize the appearance of your email client and toolbar according to your own preferences.

The Ribbon in the new Outlook gets more customization options. "Following the same design principles that drove the Office 365 user experience updates announced last year, the ribbon in Outlook for Mac has been redesigned to be fully customizable," a Microsoft spokesperson said.

It looks like Microsoft has updated Outlook for Mac with many improvements that users have been missing. This suggests that Microsoft is still trying to win over Mac users by making its email client more user-friendly. It is not yet known when the updated Outlook application will be available to all Mac users.
