OWC has unveiled a new version of the 12TB Aura P4 solid-state drive (SSD), which will enable the company to double the capacity of its external drives for Apple Macintosh and other computers. So, the flagship Accelsior 4M2 with a speed of more than 6 GB / s will receive 16 GB of NAND flash memory.

The device is based on four SSDs in the M.2-2280 form factor and is capable of offering sequential read speeds up to 2800 MB / s (up to 3800 MB / s when using two storage systems and SoftRAID technology) and sequential write speeds up to 2450 MB/s. The OWC product family includes ThunderBlades ranging from 1TB to 16TB, but few of them, including the flagship 16TB model, use the Aura P12. The price of this model is $4999.
