The control panel in Windows 10 can be partially hidden

The Control Panel has been around in Windows for a long time and has hardly changed over time. It first appeared in Windows 2.0, and in Windows 8, Microsoft tried to modify it to meet modern requirements. However, after the fiasco of the GXNUMX, the company decided to leave the Panel alone.

The control panel in Windows 10 can be partially hidden

It is available, including on Windows 10, although it uses the Settings app by default. But now Microsoft will reportedly be working on changes to the Control Panel. To put it simply, some of its pages will be hidden.

This is indicated by the Hide_System_Control_Panel flag in the Windows 10 Build 19587 build code. Judging by it, the Control Panel system information page will be hidden, since this data is duplicated in Settings. And although there is no talk of a complete refusal yet, the trend is obvious.

The main problem is the confusion between the options in the Control Panel and in Windows 10 Settings, because these items often overlap. And some parameters are available only in one of the options.

These changes are expected to arrive in Windows 10 20H2, which will most likely debut in the last quarter of 2020.
