Patriot today announced the release of the Viper VPN100 PCIe M.2 SSDs, which were first showcased at CES 2019 in January.
The new items are PCIe Gen 3 x4 NVMe devices. The Phison E12 controller is involved. We are talking about the presence of a DRAM cache with a capacity of 512 MB.
The Patriot Viper VPN100 PCIe M.2 SSD family includes four models - 256GB and 512GB, as well as 1TB and 2TB. Products correspond to the M.2 2280 format - dimensions are 22 Γ 80 mm.
Performance indicators depend on the specific modification. The maximum declared read speed in sequential mode is 3450 MB / s, the write speed is 3000 MB / s.
The products are capable of up to 600 input/output operations per second (IOPS) for random reads of data in blocks of 4 KB and up to 600 operations for random writes.
Drives are designed primarily for powerful gaming systems. In addition, they are suitable for workstations. A massive aluminum radiator is responsible for heat dissipation.
