Going Digital: PUBG World Championship Canceled, To Be Replaced by Digital Continental

PUBG Corporation has canceled the 2020 PUBG Global Series tournaments due to the spread of COVID-19. Instead, PUBG Continental Series digital championships will take place. The PUBG Continental Series Charity Showdown will take place in May, followed by a series of events in Asia, Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America in June and August.

The total prize pool will be $2,4 million, with the PUBG Continental Series Charity Showdown giving away $100 in prize money for each region. Also, $100 will go to a charity of the winner's choice.

In addition, PUBG Corporation is providing $20 in compensation to each of the 21 teams that qualified for PGS Berlin earlier this year and are no longer eligible to compete. At the same time, some part of the funds will also be paid to teams in the regions that have not yet been selected.
