At Sheremetyevo Airport, personal scoreboards were installed - DBA (Digital Boarding Assistant) kiosks manufactured by the Russian company Zamar Aero Solutions, equipped with a screen and a barcode scanner. It is enough to bring the boarding pass to it and the screen displays the time and direction of departure; flight number, departure terminal; floor, boarding gate number and estimated time before boarding.
In addition, the kiosk will show the direction to the exit point and the travel time to it. This information is displayed in Russian, English and even Chinese.
Zamar Aero Solutions positions the kiosks not so much as a means of informing, but as part of a real-time zonal positioning system for passengers, although this functionality is not implemented in Sheremetyevo.
In particular, the company proposes to use them to mark passengers on pre-flight inspection. This mark will allow boarding agents, for whom the E-DSM GATE module is intended, to determine the exact location of each passenger who did not show up at the boarding gate and decide on the completion of boarding the flight.
However, for the effective operation of the system, it is required that each passenger pass the mark at the DBA, for which it will be necessary to install turnstiles. By the way, they are installed in Terminal B of Sheremetyevo Airport in front of the pre-flight screening.
