First Digital Edition of Blade Runner

The GOG and ScummVM teams are pleased to present you with a special release - the first digital edition Blade Runner and adaptation of the legendary adventure game for modern PCs. At one time, Blade Runner became an absolute hit and turned the gaming industry upside down. The game offered completely unthinkable gameplay and mechanics for those times (1997), and sold over 800 copies. But Blade Runner was never released digitally, and running it on modern systems was nearly impossible. For decades, the legend has sunk into oblivion. It took almost 000 years for the fan community to somehow get the build from the original discs up and running, and yet there were a lot of compatibility issues. Then the GOG team joined in, and with it the ScummVM project. The game has been extensively tested, free of bugs, and adapted for all modern versions of Windows, Mac and Linux.

Blade Runner by Westwood Studios remains one of the best adventure games ever made to this day, but due to the lack of a digital version, it has gradually faded from people's memory. But today is her hour. Thanks to the efforts of fans of the game and the site GOG.COM, she finally returned to modern PCs.

It's time to remember how real PC gaming began!
