According to the source, Epistar will supply LEDs for iPad Pro Mini-LED displays in the near future. It is reported that more than 10 LEDs will be used in each tablet. There, Apple is expected to bring in yet another LED supplier in the form of Osram Opto. The company's LEDs will be used in the MacBook, while Epistar's products will go exclusively to the iPad. This is in line with supply chain information previously released by respected analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. He has already predicted that the iPad Pro will be the first Apple product to feature a Mini-LED display, and that Epistar will start shipping LEDs in the third quarter of this year.

Kuo also suggested that Apple might release a 16-inch MacBook Pro with a Mini-LED display later this year, but this information contradicts DigiTimes. According to Taiwanese market research firm TrendForce, Apple suppliers will start vying for orders for 14- and 16-inch Mini-LED MacBook Pros by early 2021.
