Tablet LG G Pad 5 received a 10,1″ Full HD display and a three-year-old chip

According to online sources, the South Korean company LG is preparing to launch a new tablet computer. We are talking about the device G Pad 5 (LM-T600L), which has already been certified by Google. The hardware “stuffing” of the tablet is not impressive, since it is based on a single-chip system released in 2016.

The device will receive a display with a diagonal of 10,1 inches, which supports a resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels (corresponding to the Full HD format). At the top of the display is the front camera, the resolution of which is still unknown.

As for hardware, the developers used the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 single-chip system, which is manufactured using a 14-nanometer process technology and has four processing cores. The Adreno 530 accelerator is responsible for graphics processing. There is an X12 LTE modem that provides support for fourth-generation communication networks. The configuration is complemented by 4 GB of RAM and a built-in storage capacity of 32 GB. It is possible that the manufacturer will release models with different amounts of RAM and ROM. As a software platform, the Android Pie mobile OS with the proprietary LG UX interface is used.

Along with the parameters of the LG G Pad 5, a render was published showing the front of the device. The design is devoid of any remarkable features, the display is framed by rather thick frames (especially in the upper and lower parts). It is worth noting that in terms of performance, the device in question will be inferior even to the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4, which was released in 2018. Despite this, in the near future LG G Pad 5 may appear in the markets of some countries. The likely cost of new items is unknown, but it is unlikely to be high.
