The Huawei Video platform will work in Russia

Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei intends to launch its video service in Russia in the coming months. This was reported by RBC, citing information received from Jaime Gonzalo, Vice President of Mobile Services at Huawei Consumer Products Europe.

We are talking about the Huawei Video platform. It became available in China about three years ago. Later, the promotion of the service in the European market began - it is already working in Spain and Italy. To interact with the service, you must have a mobile device from Huawei or an Honor subsidiary brand.

So, it is reported that soon the Huawei Video service will work in Russia and in a number of other countries. The service will aggregate the content of various video platforms, including Russian ones, such as ivi.ru and Megogo. The Chinese giant does not intend to produce its own video materials.

“Huawei has no plans to become a content producer and compete with services like Netflix or Spotify. It is in our interests to become partners for them so that the user can choose,” said Mr. Gonzalo.

Apparently, the Huawei Video platform will work in our country at the end of this year or at the beginning of next year.
