The Wonderful 101 was released on the Nintendo Wii U in 2013, and on February 3 this year, Platinum Games launched
The minimum goal of $50 was set for release on the Nintendo Switch, but the amount raised would allow the game to be released on Steam and PS4 as well. The game is currently slated to launch this May in North America and Europe, and in June in Japan.
This early launch indicates that ported versions were probably already close to completion from the start of the campaign. PlatinumGames CEO Atsushi Inaba recently clarified that the fundraiser was not to raise funds for the purpose of publishing, but to gauge interest in the project, revitalize the gaming community, and fund DLCs that will be released in the future.

Unfortunately, Platinum Games has decided not to expand the number of localizations of The Wonderful 101: Remastered: only English, French, Italian, German and Spanish will be available. The game will offer updated graphics and increased frame rates, as well as redesigned controls and some other changes.
The Wonderful 101: Remastered will cost €44,99 and will be released on PC, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on May 22 in Europe and May 19 in North America.
