Platinum Games has launched a Kickstarter campaign for The Wonderful 101 re-release - the game will appear on PC, PS4 and Switch

Like supposed to, On February 3, Platinum Games announced the launch of Kickstarter campaigns re-releases of The Wonderful 101. Players have already funded the appearance of the project on PC (Steam), PS4 and Nintendo Switch.

Platinum Games hoped to raise $50 for the development of the remaster, but in just a few hours they raised more than $900. The campaign will end on March 6, and the updated The Wonderful 101 will be released in April.

If the fees for the re-release of The Wonderful 101 exceed $1 million, the game will feature the "Time Attack" mode, and upon reaching $1,5 million, the developers will add a new level to the project - "Luke's First Mission".

As for the release of The Wonderful 101 on Xbox One, the developers of this version of the game are not among the additional goals. However, the reissue can get to the Microsoft console if the Kickstarter campaign is successful enough.

The modernized The Wonderful 101 is hoped to be more user-friendly: additional hints will appear in the game, and the gameplay will be adapted to new platforms.

According to representatives of Platinum Games, the release of the re-release of The Wonderful 101 will be the first step towards the independence of the studio. However, the release of the game outside of the Wii U was made possible "thanks to the kindness of Nintendo".

The Wonderful 101 was released in August 2013 on the Nintendo Wii U. Despite a relatively warm reception from critics (78 points out of 100 at Metacritic), the game did not sell well.

The director of The Wonderful 101 Hideki Kamiya (Hideki Kamiya) connects the low results of the project with its target platform - Wii U was bought by less than 14 million people at the time.

In The Wonderful 101, players control a squad of superheroes whose mission is to save humanity from aliens. The army of characters is growing due to the townspeople rescued by users.

The Wonderful 101 is the first of four Platinum Games projects under the initiative announced yesterday platinum 4. About three others in the studio have not yet been distributed.
