Publisher Modus Games and developers from Frozenbyte studio, following the story trailer, presented a new trailer for their charming platformer Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince, which is scheduled for release on October 8th. In Trine 4, the three heroes will reunite once again, this time to save Prince Celia and the real world at the same time from the unfortunate man's nightmares.

The presented video demonstrates a lot of fragments of the gameplay with puzzle solving; battles against the magical creatures of nightmares; various game mechanics like teleportation, trampolines, fast-growing vegetation, rope walking; hero abilities; and lots of beautiful landscapes. The developers warn that the video contains plot spoilers and solutions to a number of puzzles:

The video also shows the old and new skills of three key characters. The knight Pontius, for example, can glide on his shield, reflect light flux with it, and direct jets of water. The wizard Amadeus not only creates various blocks, but also learned to teleport a short distance. And the thief Zoya accurately shoots with various arrows and swings on a rope, and also wields a solid expanding thread.

According to the plot, the young prince Celius suffers from dark dreams, and his outstanding magical talents and mental throwings give rise to monsters that can penetrate reality and cause damage to the kingdom. The heroes have to overcome many trials and overcome nightmarish creatures in order to rescue the injured prince and at the same time prevent the shadows of Selia from swallowing the world. On the way, you will meet allies from among the inhabitants of the kingdom.

Trine 4 is available for pre-order (on Steam the game costs only 515 β‚½). As an early purchase bonus, players get access to a special "Toby's Dream" level dedicated to Toby the dog from Nine Parchments (a co-op arcade offshoot of Trine from the same Frozenbyte studio). Other players will receive this level with some delay. Unfortunately, Russian voice acting is not provided in the game - only subtitles.
