Coming soon to Gmail a major update that will add so-called “dynamic emails.” This technology has already been tested among corporate G Suite users since the beginning of the year, and from July 2 it will be launched for everyone.
Technically, this system relies on AMP, a web page compression technology from Google that is used on mobile devices. Its use allows you to speed up the loading of web pages and perform various tasks without leaving your mail. This will allow you to fill out forms, edit data in Google Docs, view images, and so on, right from Gmail.
It is noted that at first this feature will be available only in the web version, and mobile versions will be updated in the future. There is no exact release date for such an update yet.
As noted, a number of partners of the “good corporation” already support such dynamic letters. These include Booking.com, Despegar, Doodle, Ecwid, Freshworks, Nexxt, OYO Rooms, Pinterest and redBus. And although the list is expected to expand in the future, you should not think that all incoming correspondence will immediately acquire such functionality. Before authorizing a company to support AMP, Google conducts a privacy and security review of each partner, which takes time.
In general, this innovation will reduce the number of tabs in the browser and optimize work. It is reported that this function will be launched by default, that is, it will not be necessary to force it.
