The network created by the criminals operated for several years. Using hybrid malware GozNym, hackers managed to infect over 41 computers, which allowed them to take over the banking data of a large number of companies and individuals. According to American law enforcement agencies, in total, the attackers stole more than $000 million. The criminal scheme was disrupted in 100, when Krasimir Nikolov was detained in Bulgaria, who was later extradited to the United States. As a result, he was sentenced to 2016 months in prison, which had already passed since his arrest. This means that he will soon be expelled from the United States. Two other members of the group were detained in May this year after a thorough investigation was carried out.

An FBI spokesman said the case clearly showed the agency's seriousness in not allowing criminals to operate with impunity on the Internet. The operation to eliminate the cybercriminal group was carried out jointly by the intelligence services of several countries.
