At the recent consumer electronics show CES 2020, the first information about the unique OnePlus Concept One smartphone was revealed. And now the developers have shown one of the early prototypes of this device.
Recall that the key feature of the device is the “disappearing” rear camera. Its optical modules are hidden behind electrochromic glass, which can change properties, becoming either transparent or dark. In the second case, the glass merges with the rest of the case, and the camera becomes invisible.
This time around, the OnePlus Concept One prototype is shown in all-black. The device is finished with leather.
The main camera combines three optical blocks, some additional component and a flash. All elements are lined up vertically.
It is noted that when the camera application is activated or turned off, the electrochromic glass changes from one state to another in just 0,7 seconds. Moreover, this insert can become translucent, acting as a light filter when shooting, say, in too bright sunlight.
Unfortunately, nothing has been announced about the possible timing of the appearance of OnePlus Concept One on the commercial market.
