Poland changed its mind about abandoning Huawei's 5G equipment

The Polish government is unlikely to completely abandon the use of Huawei equipment in next-generation mobile networks, as this could lead to higher costs for mobile operators. This was reported to Reuters by Karol Okonski, Deputy Minister of Administration and Implementation of Digital Technologies, responsible for cybersecurity issues.

Poland changed its mind about abandoning Huawei's 5G equipment

Recall that in January of this year, Polish officials told Reuters that the government was ready to exclude Chinese Huawei from the list of equipment suppliers for 5G networks after the arrest of a Huawei employee and a former Polish security official on charges of espionage.

Okonski said Warsaw is considering raising security standards and setting limits for XNUMXG networks, and a decision could be made in the coming weeks.
