LG Electronics (LG) announced the development of a new mobile application, ThinQ (formerly SmartThinQ), for interacting with smart home devices.
The main feature of the program is support for voice commands in natural language. This system uses Google Assistant voice recognition technology.
Using common phrases, users will be able to interact with any smart device connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi. These can be washing machines, dishwashers, refrigerators, air conditioners, ovens, dryers, etc.
For example, through the ThinQ application, you can use your voice to change the temperature of the air conditioner or find out how much time is left until the end of the wash.
In addition, the program will allow you to monitor the status of all βsmartβ household appliances in real time.
True, at first the system will only accept English-language speech. Then, apparently, support for other languages ββwill be implemented.
Distribution of the new ThinQ application will begin before the end of this month.
