LG's attempt to troll Huawei backfired

LG's attempt to troll Huawei, which was facing problems due to restrictions imposed by the United States, not only did not receive support from users, but also highlighted the problems of the South Korean company's own customers.

LG's attempt to troll Huawei backfired

After the United States banned Huawei from working with American companies, effectively preventing the Chinese manufacturer from using licensed versions of Android and Google apps, LG decided to take advantage of the situation to announce its strong partnership with Google on Twitter.

"LG and Google: a relationship that's been strong for years," LG tweeted, adding the hashtag #TheGoodLife. The South Korean manufacturer accompanied his tweet with a screenshot of himself asking Google Assistant who his best friend is, to which he replies: β€œI don’t want to be too blunt, but I think you and I get along pretty well.”

Apparently the reaction of users to this tweet was not what the company expected, because it soon deleted it.

In most comments, users criticized the company in connection with its policy of providing updates for the licensed version of Android.

β€œRelationships are so good that your phones barely get software updates,” one user pointed out.

β€œWithout updates on your phones... you'll shut down like Sony Mobile,” another noted. He advised the South Korean company to give its license to Huawei, since, judging by the way it provides software updates for its phones, it does not need this license.
