Patriot is preparing to release a high-performance portable SSD called PXD. The novelty, according to the AnandTech resource, was demonstrated in Las Vegas (USA) at CES 2020.

The device is enclosed in an elongated metal case. To connect to a computer, there is a USB 3.1 Gen 2 interface with a symmetrical Type-C connector, providing a bandwidth of up to 10 Gb / s.

The novelty is based on the Phison PS5013-E13T controller. 3D NAND flash memory microchips are used.

The Patriot PXD SSD will be offered in three capacity options - 512 GB, as well as 1 TB and 2 TB. The manufacturer has already disclosed performance indicators: data can be read and written at speeds up to 1000 MB / s.

Thus, the novelty should be of interest primarily to those users who need fast pocket storage to transfer fairly large amounts of information. Sales of Patriot PXD will begin this year; the price has not yet been specified.
