Ubisoft has named another project that replaced Steam with the Epic Games Store. Anno 1800, a city builder, has been announced to be available for purchase only on the Epic Games Store and Uplay after release.
Anno 1800 has been available for pre-order on Steam for quite some time, and in order not to piss off the users of this marketplace, Ubisoft decided to make the strategy exclusive to the two mentioned stores only after the release. That is, the publisher does not intend to close the collection of pre-orders on Steam, as was the case with the Metro Exodus shooter. The pre-sale will go until the release itself, that is, until April 16, and only after that the game will be removed from sale on Steam. For the standard version they ask for 1999 rubles, and for the Deluxe edition - 2699 rubles.
The publisher assures that Steam users will receive all the content they are entitled to, including add-ons and patches, at the same time as those who buy the game in other stores. In addition, online cross-platform play will be available between all sites, since this mode only works through Uplay anyway.
The new project of the Blue Byte studio is dedicated to the industrial revolution and the rise of the colonial empires of the 1800th century. Players will be able to research new technologies, build huge cities, explore South America, engage in trade, diplomacy and, of course, war. βAnno 20 combines the best features of different games in the series with a XNUMX-year history,β the strategy description says. - Players will experience an unforgettable city building experience, a story campaign, a highly customizable sandbox mode and classic Anno multiplayer mode.
