On information edition of PCGamer, a major modification of SIGIL for the original Doom will be released on May 31st. John Romero, one of the creators of the iconic shooter, is responsible for its development. He promised that he would not postpone the release date any longer.

Anyone can download the mod on May 31 from the official site. The project is also distributed in physical editions of The Big Box and The Beast Box, but pre-orders for them were accepted only until December 24 last year. The latest set includes a copy of SIGIL in a specially designed box, the soundtrack, a flash drive and stickers. The modification itself includes nine new levels for a single player game and the same number of maps for online duels in Deathmatch mode.

John Romero originally planned to release SIGIL in April. He stated this during announcement, which coincided with the 25th anniversary of the original Doom. Then the author accommodated exit at the beginning of May, and now decided on the exact date. According to him, the delays are due to difficulties in the production of physical copies.
