The Spektr-UV observatory is intended for fundamental astrophysical research in the ultraviolet and visible ranges of the electromagnetic spectrum with high angular resolution. This device is created in NPO them. S.A. Lavochkin.
The set of main scientific instruments of the observatory includes a scientific data management module, an onboard router, a spectrograph unit, and an ISSIS field camera unit. The latter is designed to build high-quality images in the ultraviolet and optical regions of the spectrum. ISSIS will include Spanish components, namely radiation receivers.
