At the beginning of the year, there was information that the Chinese company Huawei and its subsidiary brand Honor will soon enter the smart TV market. And now network sources have released new information on this topic.
It is noted that the first smart TVs under the Huawei brand will debut as early as next month, and not in the second half of the year, as previously expected. Initially, at least two models will be available - with a diagonal of 55 and 65 inches.
BOE Technology will supply displays for the 55-inch TV, and Huaxing Optoelectronics, which was acquired by BOE, for the 65-inch TV.
Huawei may equip its smart TVs with dual cameras and support for fifth-generation (5G) mobile communications. It is a question of developed game and social functions.
Network sources also add that Huawei expects to ship up to 10 million smart TVs per year. The company plans to focus on the creation of panels of the middle and upper price ranges.
The Chinese telecommunications giant itself has not yet commented on the situation.
