Lenovo Z100 Pro '6MP' unveiled with 4 rear cameras

As expected, Lenovo has unveiled the new flagship Z6 Pro at a special event in China. This company's second phone based on Qualcomm's 7nm Snapdragon 855 SoC was unveiled just four months after Lenovo Z5 Pro GT. The phone received a screen with a teardrop notch, up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of high-speed UFS 2.1 memory. In addition, this is the first Lenovo smartphone with four rear cameras, which the manufacturer focuses on.

Lenovo Z6 Pro is equipped with a glass and metal body. The 6,39-inch AMOLED display features Full HD+ (1080 × 2340) pixels and a 19,5:9 aspect ratio. The sixth generation fingerprint scanner is integrated into the display (as the manufacturer indicates). It is also worth noting that the device's screen features a wide DCI-P3 color gamut, support for HDR10, includes an anti-UV filter and the ability to fine-tune the brightness.

Self-portrait lovers will appreciate the 32-megapixel front camera with f / 2 aperture and Face ++ photo enhancement algorithm. The neural network is trained on thousands of celebrity photos and tries to make the photos more professional while preserving the features of the owner's face. It is worth noting that the portrait enhancement mode is available even when shooting video.

But the highlight of the device is an array of four rear cameras, collectively called AI Hyper Video. The main 48-megapixel sensor is complemented by an f / 1,8 lens. The 16MP ultra-wide camera has a 125-degree field of view, while the 8MP telephoto camera offers 4x zoom (obviously relative to the ultra-wide camera). And finally, there is the increasingly popular 2MP 3D Time of Flight camera.

The manufacturer claims support for 4K video with perfect stabilization based on an optical system (8-axis, whatever that means), ToF, gyroscope and advanced intelligent algorithms with scene analysis (unfortunately, it seems only at 30 fps). The pixel size of 2,9 microns, as well as AI, allow you to take better night shots. Super macro mode is supported from a distance of 2,39 cm. There is support for phase and laser autofocus and dual-tone LED flash. There is also a Double View Vlog mode, which allows you to simultaneously shoot video from the front and rear cameras. Unfortunately, the “100 megapixels” used in marketing only speaks of the total resolution of all cameras or the mentioned possibility of parallel shooting from both cameras.

The device comes preloaded with Android 9 Pie with ZUI 11 interface. For optimal gaming performance, Game Turbo auto-overclocking mode and copper tube liquid cooling technology to remove excess heat from the processor are provided. The 4000mAh battery supports 27W fast charging via USB-C port.

Lenovo Z6 Pro is equipped with L1 + L5 dual-frequency GPS technology for more accurate location tracking. The smartphone also supports reverse charging via the USB-C port. Other connectivity options on the Z6 Pro include dual SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0. There's even a 3,5mm headphone jack and Dolby Atmos stereo speakers. The smartphone measures 157,5 × 74,6 × 8,65 mm and weighs 185 grams.
