OPPO A9x unveiled: 6,53β€³ display, 6GB RAM and 48MP camera

As expected, OPPO introduced the A9x mid-range smartphone, in addition to the A9 released last month. The device is equipped with a 6,53-inch FullHD + display, occupying 90,7% of the front side. The screen received a teardrop notch, which houses a 16-megapixel camera with f / 2 aperture.

The heart of the device is a powerful 12-nm single-chip system MediaTek Helio P70 (4x Cortex-A73 @2,1GHz, 4x Cortex-A53 @2GHz, Mali-G72 MP3 Graphics @900MHz, custom neuro module). This chip is complemented by 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal flash memory (there is support for microSD).

The smartphone received a rear camera with the now popular 48-megapixel Qual Bayer module (pixels at 1,6 microns in 12-megapixel mode) and a lens with an aperture of f/1,7. The main camera is complemented by a 5MP secondary camera for depth-of-field effects when shooting portraits, as well as an LED flash. OPPO A9x runs Android 9 Pie with ColorOS 6.0 shell.

There is support for two SIM cards, a rear fingerprint sensor, a 4020 mAh battery with support for VOOC 3.0 high-speed charging, a 3,5 mm audio jack, FM radio, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and GLONASS. The back panel is covered with 3D gradient-filled glass (in Ice White and Meteor Black versions).

The device measures 162 Γ— 76,1 Γ— 8,3 mm and weighs 190 grams. OPPO A9x cost is 1999 yuan (~$290), and the smartphone will go on sale in China on May 21.
