The ROSA company presented the mobile operating system ROSA Mobile 2.2 (ROSA Mobile), adapted for the Russian smartphone R-FON. The ROSA Mobile environment is based on the open platform Plasma Mobile, developed by the KDE project. ROSA Mobile is distinguished by a redesigned interface, its own set of icons and the delivery of additional applications.
The system environment is compiled from its own package repository. The kwin_wayland composite server is used to output graphics. The platform uses the ModemManager telephone stack and the Telepathy communication framework. Mobile applications are based on the Plasma Mobile Gear set and use the Qt library, the Mauikit component set, and the Kirigami framework. It is possible to launch Android applications using the Waydroid project.
ROSA Mobile is installed on the R-FON smartphone, developed by Rutek and assembled at its own facility in Saransk (Technopark-Mordovia). The device features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display (FullHD+ 1080×2412, Gorilla Glass 5) and is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 SoC (2 Cortex-A76 cores at 2200 MHz and 6 Cortex-A55 cores at 2000 MHz), manufactured since May 2022. It has 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. It also features a microSD card slot, 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth 5.2, a 16 MP front camera, and a 50 MP rear camera (f/1.8). The battery is 5000 mAh. The device weighs 189g and measures 163.8x76.3x7.96mm. Its appearance, size, weight, and specifications (except for the weaker rear camera and RAM size) are identical to those of the Symphony Helio 80 smartphone. R-FON claims to have developed its own drivers for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and other components.

Among the changes in ROSA Mobile 2.2:
- The R-FON smartphone platform has been optimized, allowing for faster app launches and smoother task switching. A power-saving mode has been implemented for the modem, increasing battery life in areas with weak mobile signal.
- The camera app has been fixed to freeze when switching between photo and video modes. The QR code scanner has been improved. Photos and videos are now sorted correctly in the gallery, and short video processing issues have been resolved.
- The emulator launches faster for Android apps. The "Start phone" screen is no longer displayed when the emulator is launched, and the permissions prompt is no longer displayed when installing Android apps from the RuStore.
- The address book now supports adding or merging contacts by scanning a QR code.
- The network configurator now supports Wi-Fi connection via QR code and the ability to manually specify a static IP address.
- The on-screen keyboard has been improved, auto-suggestion accuracy has been increased, and spell-checking capabilities have been expanded.
- Fixed a bug that could cause icons to disappear from the desktop after a reboot.
- Resolved an issue where the Wi-Fi hotspot would disappear from view for other devices.
- Fixed a bug where audio during a call was simultaneously output to a Bluetooth headset and the smartphone speaker.
