The Avtomatika Concern of the Rostec State Corporation presented a comprehensive solution for the development of fifth generation mobile networks (5G) in our country during the IV conference "Digital Industry of Industrial Russia".
It is noted that the creation of a nationwide 5G infrastructure is a national task. It is expected that fifth generation networks will become the basic infrastructure for the implementation of the Digital Economy program, in particular, for the widespread development of the Internet of things.
A feature of the presented solution is the predominant use of domestic developments. They fully comply with the requirements for obtaining the status of telecommunications equipment of Russian origin and Russian software.
As part of the project, laboratory network segments have already been developed that implement 5G communication technology. It is expected that equipment testing will begin in experimental zones in Russia this summer.
In the future, it is planned to develop an integrated industrial solution that will allow creating a national-level 2021G network by 5. Such an infrastructure should provide not only the required level of service for end users, but also the necessary level of trust in terms of national security.
