President Lukashenko intends to invite IT companies from Russia to Belarus

While the possibility of creating an isolated Runet is being explored in Russia, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko continues to build a kind of Silicon Valley, which was announced back in 2005. Work in this direction will continue today, when the Belarusian president will meet with representatives of dozens of IT companies, including those from Russia. During the meeting, IT companies will learn about the benefits that can be obtained by working in the Belarusian Hi-Tech Park.

According to online sources, representatives of 30-40 companies have been invited to the meeting. Among them is "Yandex", which has already managed to organize a division of "YandexBel" operating in the Belarusian technopark. Representatives of the company confirmed a meeting scheduled for April 12, in which the country's president will take part, but the details of the event were not announced.

Most likely, Alexander Lukashenko intends to tell IT companies about the advantages of doing business in Belarus. Belarusian media reports that many Russian developers and startups are already moving to Belarus due to "unprecedented tax benefits."

Recall that residents of the Belarusian Hi-Tech Park are exempt from corporate benefits, paying only 1% of the quarterly revenue in favor of the technopark. In addition, employees of IT companies are subject to a 9% income tax instead of the standard 13%. Foreign founders and employees of enterprises from among the residents of the technopark can do without visas, staying in the country for up to 180 days. In addition, IT companies are given considerable financial incentives, which provide more opportunities for successful business development.
