The release of the flagship smartphone Redmi, which will be based on the Snapdragon 855 hardware platform, is approaching. Brand President Lu Weibing spoke about the equipment of the device in a number of posts on Weibo.
The new Redmi, recall, should be one of the most affordable smartphones with a Snapdragon 855 processor. This chip contains eight Kryo 485 cores with a clock frequency of 1,80 GHz to 2,84 GHz, an Adreno 640 graphics accelerator and a Snapdragon X4 LTE 24G modem .
It is known that the device will receive a triple main camera based on sensors with 48 million, 13 million and 8 million pixels. According to Mr. Weibing, one of the modules will be equipped with ultra-wide-angle optics.
In addition, the head of the Xiaomi Redmi brand announced that the smartphone will be equipped with a 3,5 mm headphone jack and an NFC module for making contactless payments.
The device is credited with having a 6,39-inch Full HD + display with a resolution of 2340 Γ 1080 pixels, 8 GB of RAM and a flash drive with a capacity of 128/256 GB.
Earlier it was reported that the new product will debut in the commercial market under the name Redmi X. However, Liu Weibing said that the device will receive a different name.
