Microsoft and 343 Industries have announced that the PC version of Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be updated with Halo 3: ODST next Tuesday, September 22.

The developers accompanied the announcement with a one-minute trailer. There are practically no gameplay shots in the video, but there is a thick atmosphere, melancholic music and a sense of doom.

In the background of the video, the voice of Corporal Taylor Miles, also known by the call sign Dutch, is heard: "Now is one of those times when it is beneficial to be silent and serious."


In the trailer description, the creators of Halo 3: ODST promise a PC-optimized "completely redesigned campaign" as well as a "recently updated version of [mode] Firefight."

β€œRelive the events leading up to Halo 3 as an Orbital Assault Strike Force soldier. Your task is to track down the traces of the lost squad and understand the reason for the Covenant invasion of New Mombasa," reads the description of Halo 3: ODST in Microsoft Store.

Halo 3: ODST will be available for purchase (not pre-orderable) either separately or as part of a bundle. On Steam, the first option will cost users 259 rubles, the second in 725 rubles.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is available on PC (Steam, Windows 10) and Xbox One. In addition to Halo 3: ODST, the collection includes four major sets, of which only Halo 4 is currently missing on PC.
