Red Thread Games, which created Dreamfall Chapters (and its founders are also responsible for the cult quest The Longest Journey), announced that the adventure detective Draugen will be released in May.
For now we are talking only about the PC version, which will be sold on Steam and GOG. The latter, as usual, will offer the game without any DRM protection and with the ability to save your copy on any media. Draugen has description pages on both sites (including system requirements), but pre-orders are not yet open on either of them. Let us remind you that versions for PS4 and Xbox One are also in development, but they do not even have an estimated release date.
βDraugen is a single-player, first-person fjord noir suspense detective story set in 1920s Norway,β the authors describe their work. We play as Edward Charles Harden, an American explorer who comes to Norway in search of his missing sister. The hero will be accompanied by a young companion named Lissy - a determined, independent and mysterious girl. βTogether they will get to know this picturesque coastal area, lost among the fjords and mountains in the Norwegian wilderness, and uncover the dark secrets hidden behind the beautiful landscapes,β the authors intrigue.
The soundtrack is composed by Simon Poole, the game's script was written by Ragnar TΓΈrnquist, and the project itself is being created with the support of the Norwegian Film Institute and the European Union's creative program Creative Europe.
