The myASUS app lets you use your smartphone as a secondary display

As part of CES 2020, ASUS demonstrated a new feature for its myASUS proxy application. This program is designed for smartphones and PCs, allowing you to remotely control branded equipment. The program is in Microsoft Store and Google Play.

The new version, as noted, will expand the functionality of the application and allow you to use your Android mobile device as an additional display, extending the desktop to it.

To use this feature, you need a smartphone with Android 9 or higher and a PC running Windows 10. Both devices require the app and drivers to be installed before extending or mirroring the screen becomes available. The rollout of the new feature will start on January 19th. Most importantly, this option will be available not only to owners of ASUS devices, but to all Windows 10 users.

This is not the first such project. The "top ten" has the Your Phone application, which allows you to exchange data between a computer and a smartphone, transfer photos, read and send messages, as well as accept and implement mobile phone calls.

There is an analogue in the "apple" ecosystem, where the iPad can be used as a secondary screen for a computer running macOS. Do not lag behind and "gaming" companies. Alienware at CES 2020 presented the concept of a smartphone as a second screen with game statistics. While not a full screen extension, it's still pretty close.
