Greetings from the last century: the Japanese company introduced a new series of audio cassettes

It would seem that the era of audio cassettes ended in the first half of the last decade. But despite this, they are still being produced, and some companies even release new models. Thus, the Japanese company Nagaoka Trading, which specializes in various audio equipment, has introduced new CT-series compact cassettes.

The new series includes four models: CT10, CT20, CT60 and CT90, which can record up to 10, 20, 60 and 90 minutes of audio respectively. As expected, half of the allotted time can be recorded on each side of the cassette.

According to the manufacturer, the new cassettes are best suited for recording karaoke, radio broadcasts, interviews and re-recording from CDs. Users will be able to choose the optimal "capacity" for their records.

Note that audio cassettes have recently begun to gain popularity again. Of course, they lose to vinyl records in terms of sound quality, but nostalgic feelings play their role here too.

The cost of Nagaoka Trading CT10, CT20, CT60 and CT90 cassettes in Japan will be 150, 180, 220 and 260 yen, which at the current rate is approximately equal to 88, 105, 128 and 152 rubles, respectively. Quite inexpensive, considering how much new audio cassettes cost on the domestic market.
