#FixWWE2K20 call: fans of the fighting game series unhappy with the latest installment

Game suffers from a host of bugs and other issues, including long loading times for online matches and crashes in playback. WWE 2K20 also looks much worse than the previous parts.

All this caused a flurry of indignation among fans. To reach out to 2K Games and spread the word about the situation widely, they started using the hashtag #FixWWE2K20 on Twitter.

So what happened? Releasing another game in the series every year isn't easy, but other 2K Games projects, like the NBA 2K franchise, are doing well. Problems with WWE 2K20 are not because of this. Yuke's has been making WWE games since 2000, but this time, NBA 2K creators Visual Concepts were doing the game instead. The studio helped build WWE before and is now leading development for the first time.

Apparently, the team had some difficulties with the new engine and direction. The series has been out every October or November since 2000, so a rescheduling (no matter how necessary) might have been out of the question, as it would have meant the game would miss out on a lucrative season.
