According to Smith, Parasite Eve is a unique hybrid of horror and RPG that would certainly appeal to the current public: "It was very original and original, so I think the time has come."

“I don’t know of any plans [to revive the franchise] at the moment, but it would be foolish not to use these characters [in the future],” Kitase stated with confidence.

The "rich and deep" nature of Parasite Eve's characters was cited by Kitase as one of the main features of the series. Of all the characters in the franchise, the producer singled out Aya Brea, the protagonist.

Parasite Eve is an action role-playing game with elements of horror. The game was released in 1998 on the original PlayStation, where a year later (in the case of the Japanese release) it received a direct sequel.

The fans had to wait until 2010 for the next part. The PlayStation Portable offshoot of The 3rd Birthday was produced by Kitase, but unlike the first two games, the spin-off failed to win over the people.

The last time the series was remembered at the end of 2018, when Square Enix unexpectedly registered in Europe under the trademark Parasite Eve. However, this trademark has not yet led to any new release.
