The Fedora project introduced a new version of the Fedora Slimbook laptop

The Fedora project has introduced a new version of the Fedora Slimbook ultrabook, equipped with a 14-inch screen. The device is a more compact and lighter version of the first model, which comes with a 16-inch screen. There are also differences in the keyboard (no side number keys and more familiar cursor keys), video card (Intel Iris X 4K instead of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti) and battery (99WH instead of 82WH). The laptop was prepared jointly with the Spanish equipment supplier Slimbook.

Fedora Slimbook is optimized for the Fedora Linux distribution and is specifically tested to achieve a high level of environmental stability and software-hardware compatibility. The initial price of the device is stated at 1299 euros (the 16-inch model costs from 1799 euros), with 3% of the proceeds from the sale of devices planned to be donated to the GNOME Foundation. At the same time, a discount of €100 was announced in honor of the 20th anniversary of the project. In addition to this discount, Fedora development participants are given another discount of €100.
